The 50th Golden girl of the Old West Revue, and the 29th Little Miss Cantaloupe pagent are held annually in honor of the young women of the the historic west Texas community of Pecos. Local teen girls compete for the title of "Golden Girl" and younger girls compete for the title of "Little Miss Cantaloupe". West of the Pecos Rodeo

The World's First Rodeo, the West of the Pecos Rodeo - returns to the Buck Jackson arena in Pecos. The first performance begins at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 26 and the final performance is Saturday, June 29, 2013. The first day of the famous rodeo event, Wednesday - usually starts with the Old Timer’s Reunion at the West of the Pecos Museum and the Rodeo Parade begins about 10:00am. Traditionally the Reeves County Sheriff’s Posse BBQ, is at Noon - then the 1st Performance of the West of The Pecos Rodeo at 8:00pm.
