Our famous West of the Pecos Museum, houses the fun, factual and famous archives and exhibits that tell the story of Pecos – past and present. Additional “Visitor Information” may be found there as well.
The Park at the West of the Pecos Museum is a great visitor destination in itself. Housing historic exhibits and a large park and entertainment area, it is also the site of many Pecos festivals.

Pecos is Located on I-20, just 20 minutes north of the I-10 intersection – with our valued neighbors Odessa, Midland and the Midland international Airport just an hour northeast of us on I-20, and Balmorhea and the Balmorhea State Park just 30 minutes south at I-10 and I-20 intersection.

Within our county there are several communities that offer their own slice of history – from Red Bluff to the north, to Toyahvale to the south, with Balmorhea, Saragossa and Toyah in between. Pecos is also on the way to several of the best park destinations in Texas and the Southwest
